| Abruzzo National Park |

Represents one of the rare areas in western Europe where, in the wide forests , that cover their mounts or in its high and craggy grasslands, is still possible to meet an animal such as "Orso Marsicano" a tipical local bear, chamois of Abruzzo, wolf, lynx, and golden eagle.
In the wonderful green oasi that forms the Abruzzo National Park today, the visitor astonished and happy, finds a great reachness of plants about 2.000 species of superior plants, and a superbe luxuriance vegetation.
The fauna of the Park, offers exemples of exceptional value, with species that with their only own presence, could justify the existence of the protected area.
Whatever is the chosen period for a vacation in the park, you need a kit for medium or high mountain, in addition to a camera, a binoculars, a map of the protected area and a pair of shoes fit for long walks.
Admission to the Park is free of charge. |

| Celano - Piccolomini Castle |

| Celano is after Avezzano, the main centre of Marsica Region. The historical part of it, is assembled by the imposing Castle, that is situated at the feet of Monte Velino. Piccolomini Castle, started to build in 1392 by Pietro Da Celano was brought to the end in the following century by Antonio Piccolomini. In its interior we can find The Marsica Museums of Holy Art. |

| Scanno Lake |

Is the largest natural lake in the Region, with a surface of about 1 squared Km.
it is egg shaped and is 17oo meters long , 7oo meters large, with a deepness of 32 meters.
It is situated 922 meters above sea level in the Sagittario Valley, between Monte Genzana and Montagna Grande, in the middle of Abruzzo National Park , in an area of great naturalistic importance, famous for the very characteristic "Sagittarius gorge". |

| Alba Fucens - Archaeological excavations |

An artistic jewel situated 1000 m.
Above sea level, it is called "The Marsican Balcony" Beauty, peace, wisdom, have been the reasons for which gods such as Apollo and Hercules decided to move from the Olimpo to the Alba Hill. Alba Fucens is today an immense artistic and cultural treasure not yet completely discovered. |

| Tagliacozzo - The Obelysk Square |

Tagliacozzo 730 m above sea level, is one of the best known touristic centre of L'Aquila province.
Its origins are very ancient and in the 1268 it was the place where the famous battle between Charles D'Anjou and Konrad von Swaben took place. The village symbol is the big fountain that sets the obelisk situated in the square that is called Obelisk square.
Its historical center, pleasant mixture of medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and 19th century architectures, is yet almost untouched and offers to visitors together with monumental splendour, the healthy climate, the quitness of environments, the chance of several cultural entertainments and society pleasures; these are the ingredients that make the visit of Tagliacozzo very agreeable. |

| Ovindoli |

Summer and winter resort starting from the twentees, is the seat of Monti della Magnola Ski Station, starting point for several excursions: Magnola mounts, Serra Di Celano, Gole di Celano.
Ovindoli, with its new structures, is worth to be considered at the first place in center and south Italy.
Ovindoli offers, today, to the passionate skier, over 30 km of ski tracks, of all difficulties. 10 of these tracks are provided with a modern plant of automatic and complete snowing, immerse in a mountain environment of rare beauty, as well as the night plants, the new cable car, the three new ski schools and a great variety of services, that make the ski resort a pleasant place of enjoynment and relaxation. |

| Avezzano - Madonna Di Pietraquaria Sanctuary |

The church is situated in the heart of Marsica Region, on monte Salviano top, 1000 m over sea level. It is famous for its antiquity and for its miracolous image that is here venerated.
Even the Saint Father John Paul the Second, in his pastoral visit in Marsi Diocese in marz 24th 1985, payed homage to Madonna Di Pietraquaria, remaining in prayer near his altar.
Furthermore, with Bishop of Marsi decree, in date 1st of january 1978, Most Holy Mary of Pietraquaria has been declared Patron of the Town of Avezzano.
The feast of Madonna di Pietraquaria is, every year, the 27th of april. By the Sanctuary you can find the Capuchin friars monastery. In the Church enterior you can admire a wonderful mechanical crib really worth to be visited. |

With its 8o parabolic antennas is one of the most important space center in the world for concentration of plants and services. |
